Your cover ends

As long as you pay your premiums, your cover will continue. However there are some circumstances where your cover may end. These are as follows:-

• your death;

• expiry date of the plan;

• cancellation of the plan;

• lapse of the plan (non-payment of premiums); or

• payment of the full sum insured under the plan.

Expiry age

The Death benefit, Terminal Illness, Final Expenses and Loss of Independence benefits all expire when you turn 100*. For the Total and Permanent Disablement benefit and Partial and Permanent Disablement benefit the expiry date is:

  • age 70* for occupation categories AAA, AA and A
  • age 65* for occupation categories B, C, D and Home Duties.

In the absence of any claim, instead of letting the Disablement benefit expire we'll convert it to a "Loss of Independence" benefit so you remain covered until you're 100*.
